NOTICE TO USERS OF OIL HEAT: If your rental requires you to pay utilities and uses oil, filling the oil tank is your responsibility. It is recommended that your oil tank be filled upon move in in order to avoid going empty. The oil tank may not be filled when you move in, and in most cases is close to empty. If the oil runs out, it is very difficult to find an oil vendor on an emergency basis, which will leave you without heat for at least one day or even three if it is a Friday. When oil runs completely out, your furnace requires a start-up procedure that most oil companies will do but charge for this service. Keep your oil tank filled to avoid any inconveniences! |
